Busted Stuff

Saturday at the State fair was an all-inclusive day. We decided to go for it all and why not, it is the Alaskan State fair. Go big or go home; pissing Texas off; eat, drink, and be merry; you know all that good stuff. So to end off our fun-filled day, we decided to hit up the Demolition Derby! It was amazing as expected. Here are some shots of the wreckage forming.

Crash! Side note, I think Kathryn would do well in a demo derby.

I think they were driving 'til they got drunk. See that? Black and white smoke! I was expecting fireworks to shoot off too! I swear you could see their grins from the stands, they were on such a high.

Here was the overall winner of the derby. Think about all those accidents and the car just dies. Funny the way it is. These babies have stamina.
Now you know what is next! Video time! *Disclaimer: My voice is obnoxious I know. I apologize for any disrupting of the ear drums caused by this video but don't blame me. The voice you will be hearing is not mine, it is Kathryn's. :)
 

The ants are marching...and crashing! 

So by the time the derby ended and the debris was cleared, it was fair ride time. This is the last stop. I had to get my carny time in! So since the night was using colors bold and bright, here are some of the shots I managed to get of the rides!

So the night ended and what a day, I wanted to stay for a while. I love to stay here. But I have to leave you with a story. So we all piled into our car and started driving home. And what do our eyes see? On the interstate, there was a kid hitch-hiking (mind you it is 11:45pm) with his painted like an EVIL CLOWN! I mean who is going to pick that up? Or I guess who in their right mind is because you have to be messed up to pick up satan clown. This isn't Halloween!
